Lewis County attracts thousands of visitors each year to the downtown Oktoberfest Heritage Festival the second weekend in October.
Previously known as Oktoberfest in Hohenwald, the Oktober Heritage Festival encompasses more of the cultural background of the Swiss settlement in the late 1800's, the influence of the Appalachia settlers and the Chickasaw Native Americans. Today it means all the people who are a part of our community.
Each year on the second weekend of October, the Oktober Heritage Festival is held, with a ton of vendors, food concessions, and the famous 10 Mile Long yard sales along Hwy 20.
We start the summer season with a celebration of music, food, arts & crafts and just good ole fun! With great music (you'll be dancing in the street) or with inflatable water slides for the kids- there's something for everyone!
Join us the second weekend in June for some good old fashioned fun!
